What You Get
Account alerts deliver free updates about your checking, savings and linked credit card accounts to your email address, text-enabled mobile device or both. You can get:
-
Balance Alerts
Balance Alerts
Balance alerts can be delivered daily or weekly for your checking and savings accounts and daily, weekly or monthly for your credit card accounts. They reflect the balance at the close of the previous business day. Your first alert should arrive within two days after you set it up.
-
Low Balance Alerts
Low Balance Alerts
They're delivered whenever the balance in a particular checking or savings account falls below an amount that you specify.
-
Deposit Notices
Deposit Notices
You can either request an alert for all deposits made to a specific account, or only deposits above an amount that you specify when you set up your alerts.
-
eBill Alerts
eBill Alerts
You can set up eBill alerts on Citibank® Online to notify you when:
- An eBill payment is upcoming
- An eBill is past due
- An eBill payment is greater than an amount you specify
-
Check Alerts
Check Alerts
These notify you of all checks presented for payment on the prior business day. You can also track:
- Whether a specific check number (from your checking or insured money market account) is presented for payment
- If a specific check is not presented during the 15-calendar-day period after you set up the alert
-
Credit Card Alerts
Credit Card Alerts2
Keep track of the activity on your linked Citi credit cards with the following alerts:
- Balance notifications tell you your current balance, when your balance is approaching the credit limit and when your balance exceeds a certain amount
- Payment notifications let you know when a payment is due, received or past due
- Statement notifications inform you when your statement is available online
- Over credit limit notifications inform you when your balance is equal to or above your total credit limit
-
CD Maturity Alerts
CD Alerts
Alerts are sent 10 calendar days before your CD matures.
CDs renew for the same term automatically unless you instruct us to do otherwise; you have a 7-day grace period to provide us with your instructions. You can do so online—just sign on, go to your Account Management page, and send us a message—or you can do so by phone or at a Citibank branch.
How It Works
You can even have alerts sent to up to two email addresses and two mobile phone numbers. Plus, it's easy to manage your alert preferences at Citibank® Online.Footnote 2 Go ahead and review alerts sent to you in the last 30 days by viewing your Alerts History, or temporarily suspend all alerts while you're away.
