    Leaving the US

    Moving to a new country is exciting but can be overwhelming. Depending on the country you are moving to, Citi may be able to assist you with the account opening process, giving you one less thing to worry about. For existing CitigoldFootnote 1 clients, your status may travel with you, tooFootnote 2.

    Opening a Bank Account Internationally

    If you are relocating to a country in which Citibank has branch locations, we may be able to schedule an appointment for you upon your arrival at a conveniently located Citibank branch so that one of our bankers can assist you with your banking needs.

    If you are a Citigold client and plan to maintain Citibank accounts in both the US and your home country, you may be able to transfer your Citigold status across your accounts by maintaining the minimum balance in at least one countryFootnote 2.

    If you are an existing Citigold customer in the US with an established credit relationship, this experience may be able to travel with you to your destination country for consideration during the credit application process.Footnote 3
