How It Works
Using Inter-Institution Transfers from Citibank is easy. You can:
- Make one-time and recurring transfers, sent using either the
Standard or Next Day delivery service
Standard service funds are credited to your account within 3 business days, as long as you initiate the transfer by 1 a.m. ET on any business day.
Next Day service funds are credited to your account on the next business day, as long as you initiate the transfer by 3 p.m. ET.
- Make a transfer simply by setting up your non-Citi account by providing the account number and the
ABA number
An ABA number—or routing number—is a 9–digit number assigned to the bank by the American Bankers Association (ABA) and used for routing transfers and other transactions. Think of it as the bank's
address.
