  1. Why are you replacing my card?
    Your Citi® Visa® card is being reissued as a Citi® Mastercard as part of a larger effort to offer a more consistent experience across many of our products and to look for new ways to enhance your experience in the future.
  2. Will my rates or fees change as a result of my card being issued as a Mastercard?
    No, your account pricing and terms will not change.
  3. Can I continue to use my Visa card after I receive my Mastercard?
    Your Visa card will cease to function 90 days from conversion date. To ensure uninterrupted service, please activate and begin using your replacement Mastercard when you receive it.
  4. Why do I see 2 accounts online?
    During this conversion process, you may see both the Visa and the Mastercard account numbers on your Citi Online dashboard for a short period of time as we move your balance from the Visa to the Mastercard.
  5. What will I need to do when my new card arrives with my new account number?
    When your new Mastercard arrives, simply:
    • Activate by phone or online
    • Sign the back
    • Notify service providers/online merchants who bill your account
